birthed out of a desire to align with intentional individuals to unearth beauty + meaning already within themselves, the story of studio soleil is ever evolving + lifelong.
my name is kaytlyn, it’s an honor that you chose to land in this space. i like to think of it as my digital living room – welcome.
studio soleil is the home for my essence, what brings me alive. as a little girl, type + color caught my eyes. my days were spent at a craft table, concocting color palettes, merging art mediums + perfecting my lettering.
my love for art turned digital as i tried my hand at blogging – combining a love for conscious brands with experimental web design ( painstakingly trying + failing to perfect a custom wordpress blog…those were the days. ) in that space, i shared about the few conscious brands that existed in 2015, favorite products, social justice movements, and ponderings on life + faith.
as a young teenager, i began to teach myself graphic design principles and software, translating a love for natural textiles, curated simplicity, old-world inspiration + a nod to femininity into my creation practice.
for almost a decade media + design was simply be a hobby, allowing my creativity to evolve, shaping me as i honed my craft. short stints in product merchandising, custom calligraphy, social media management, and wedding photography exposed me to a multitudes of mediums – each one nurturing a love for intentional brands, storytelling + calling forth meaning.
last year i became a mother, stepping through the portal of ultimate creativity – motherhood. two lives awaiting to emerge – mother and child – creates subliminal space for the dawn of ideas + dreams. the birthing portal mirrors the creation process – intense, blissful, invigorating, paradigm-shifting and in the end, a priceless reward.
as i soaked up warm, healing sunshine in my early motherhood days, the seeds of studio soleil were planted as a choice of alignment. a choice to risk. a choice to step into becoming. little meritt, my golden haired beacon of joy, remains my constant inspiration – a mirror to unearth the deepest parts of me, beckoning me into greater wholeness as each season passes.
studio soleil is more than a design studio – it is a space of co-creation. an awakening to ourselves. each project, each client is more than just that – you are a piece of my story, myself of yours. we both have the chance to step into a narrative of the human essence, weaving art + design with the beauty of everyday existence.
